Genesis Gen X

Aloha. Welcome to the first ever edition of the creator 50 podcast. I know you're thinking to yourself, what in the heck is a creator 50 podcasts. Creator 50 podcast is a mind fart from a content creation coach that goes by the name of Doc Rock. That is me. I am him and we're wanting the same.

Basically, I wanted to start this podcast as a way of inspiring my fellow gen X creators to realize that in his brand new content creation society, it is not too late to start creating. So here's the dope part. A lot of the guys that are out there creating now, let's call it your gen Z's or your millennials, whatever you want to call those people. Right. Generation next, whatever.

A lot of them are creating really good content, very passionate content they're in their game. But, you know what they lack they lack the one thing that we have in spades.. Experience. Life experience.

Doc: Aloha.

Right. Generation next, whatever.

in spades.. Experience. Life [:

When I've had this conversation personally, with other creators, I often hear the excuse. Ahh,", you know, maybe I'm too old to start creating something I'm really, really passionate about muscle cars. I'm really, really passionate about gardening. I'm really, really passionate about having a safe space for yoga, for people who do not look like. Becky with the good hair."

But it's not too late. Because not only do we get to bring the many, many years of knowledge that we have, we get to bring the distinct concept of speaking from experience. Where our younger creator friends. Are speaking in... I wouldn't to call it hyperbole that would be mean. They're speaking from idealistics! They're speaking from ideas they saw somewhere else or plan of action where do you want to go? Half the time we've already been there.

not necessarily the gospel, [:

So I thought about this for a long while it keeps coming up. It keeps waking me up in the middle of the night and when those things happen as a creator, it is time to take the baby out the bath water, dress it up.

And you guys all remember the white leather Buster Browns with the leather sole. The kind that when you plan on grandpa's lap and you just squash them one in the wedding vegetables. Yeah. Those old school Buster brown shoes. The ones that grandma used to turn into bronze and throw them on top of the Curtis Mathis. Yeah. If you don't know what Curtis Mathis is, is you can still listen to this podcast, but you might be a little bit young.

Those of [:

It is not too late to start creating. It is not too late to start telling your story. As a matter of fact, Nay I will say is selfish for you at this point to be sitting on that much knowledge, that much experience, and not tell it to the world. So I want to inspire you to start today. Start your podcast. Start your YouTube channel. Start your private zoom calls for whatever it is, [00:04:13] your passion is whatever it is that is your Ikigai. Yeah, we're going to save that for a different episode, but I'll explain it. Whatever moves your needle, I want you to get started. And I'm here to help you get started, because I'm going to show you how to build it from scratch. The basis of the beginning. First couple sessions of Creator 50 is you're going to get a chance to watch me build a podcast from ground up. I am recording this live in front of my Facebook group I will make videos on how I edit this. I will make videos on how I put it on my site that I'm going to host on, which will be captivate FM. I might even try to get the CEO of captivate to come on the show and talk to you folks, because again, You know, during the situation last year. Podcast blew up.

I've been podcasting since:

Don't let anybody tell you that we old. We, I don't even like when people say we're entering into mid life. I aint even close to me in life. I'm just beginning. It is not too late to start over.

Welcome for the ride.

witter. Doc Rock on YouTube. [:

All of the above is D O C R O C K. Of course, we'll put together the show notes, link in the description and whatever. As we do this. If you have questions, comment, feedback, you want to be a guest on the show. You have a friend that you think I should talk to. Somebody that needs a rock is kicking the booty to start telling their story. Send them my way. I am here.

I'm Doc Rock. And I'm here to help. Welcome. To the inaugural episode of creator 50.

Here's to you, and whatever you do.

Start now. I want to tell you start now, remember this. You can build it crusty. I'm going to build this crusty so you can see. Remember to document your journey. Put your iPhone somewhere, leaned it up on some books, record your process, which is why I'm recording is live in my Facebook group because my whole community gets to see me do this.

You have to remember. Start [:

I was going to just rock this and post it today. But we're going to launch this. Couple of days later, by the time you hear this, there will be some time from the time I recorded this to when I launch it. But even then with the permission of my community, I asked. And you start before you're ready.

I think that's the number one take away you can take away from this is start before you're ready, and the last one.

If you've been thinking. About creating something. And you're a little scared. Don't worry. We'll show you how to get over that. If you think it's not for you. Don't worry. We'll show you how to get over that. Because I'm going to leave you with this, write it down somewhere.

Try it before you deny it.

You don't even know how much fun it is yet because you've been holding back. And if you've already started. And you're stuck somewhere. Reach out to me. I'll get you on stuck. I'm a professional on sticker.

you can get ahold of me. At. [:

I'll see you in a little bit.

I am a Thinker. I am a Creator. I am a Maker. I am You. The world as I see it is a place full of possibilities, and only when we share our collective experiences, learn from our failures and keep striving for a perfect way of being can we all live our lives to the fullest extent possible.

As the late, great Maya Angelou said, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” I’ve had my share of failures and false starts, but through it all, I learned something new, picked myself up, and kept it moving.

I am personally on a mission to positively touch a billion people’s lives by collaborating and sharing stories and ideas. My work as a YouTuber, Trainer, Speaker, Podcaster, Moderator, and Designer has helped put me on a path to achieve my mission. I have recently founded the Let’s Get Live (LGL) community which has helped provide a rapidly expanding platform for people to help one another and learn and grow together. Our work is never, done so Let’s Get Live!
